The problem with the Bajaj Auto's small car or the ULC (Ultra Low Cost) is that it doesnt have a name, or did it? Well atleast it should have come with a name when it was launched. Tata launched the Nano around the same time if not the same day as the Bajaj ULC car, and people couldnt stop talking about the Nano...and wow what a cool name for a mini car. All Bajaj vehicle names were really bad till the Pulsar came along ( must have been the brain child of an AD Agency) and with the Pulsar, even Bajaj became definitely male. The only other decent name from the Bajaj stable is the Avenger, the others really dont bring any brand association value. And if you ask the consumers, the Pulsar is the only reason for the Brand Bajaj - whether they like to admit or not, they have nothing much to fall back on.

So if they are really serious about the ULC car, they should get to the nearest Ad Agency (Ogilvy again perhaps) and ask them to come up with a cool name and brand strategy for their ULC, month if not years before a launch. Otherwise, even if they have a stable business proposition, technology and comfort drive at hand, it aint going to sell even if they offered it for peanuts, consumers will brush it off as a 4 wheeled autorickshaw from Bajaj.

To start with, i think it looks wow - i thought the same about the Indica Vista, given the design cues are very strong and stylish though it still reminded you of the older Indica; the Vista was nothing like the earlier Indica and the same applies to the Indigo Manza, it may have the same parents, but its nothing like the elder Indigo sibling which rocked its category (rather very silently) when it was launched and ruled its class for quite sometime. The Manza looks stunning from the front (glad they replaced the sharp yellow indicators in the Indica's Vista's front in the Manza with smarter circular ones, which is smart and reminds me of the older Toyota Camry)  and some side angles it looks like a big car, the rear gives the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire a lot to desire from. The interiors are a delight to look at (at least) and since Tata has been working hard to fix the touch and feel of all it cars after market feedback, I'm sure it will live up to expectations if not impress.

Well, having been bed ridden for a couple of days and after countless surfying and watching the same news, shows, stock market crash and movies on TV, i put on the DVD of GTGH. I have the music CD in the car and very often listen to the "Chalti kya" song to the irritation of my fellow passengers. But that song has some nice beats and just fills me up with senseless energy especially when the drive gets a bit monotonous or we are out of conversation. There are some songs which always make me go a little banana for no reason and i get refuelled again. I guess thats why they say music has its own healing powers. (And thats one reason why Jagjit Singh was banned in our house - sad songs make you sad for no reason you see. No to Pankaj UDAAS as well). Back to GTGH, having heard the record so many times, had started liking many of the songs so thought of seeing the movie now even though it was lying around at home for a while.

Salman’s hysteric outcry blaming the Almighty for his every day miseries is understandable as we progress through the movie. But its true when we are in pain and trouble God is closest to us as He has been over the past few days with me and during such times as before.Anupam Kher is brilliant and doesnt need to move an inch from the lazy chair to make you laugh out loud. Though the plots are somewhat predictable, there is still fresh humour in them and the movie flows. Priyanka as the "I know he loves me" girlfriend is lovable and all the characters are easy on the eyes and ears. Some scenes are sutle and really hillarious if you stop to observe and absorb. Rajpal yadav doesnt pull any new pranks, but is funny nevertheless. The bikari is also a nice addition to the plot and plays his part. Overall a very likable and light hearted movie.

I dont really agree with those who cry Bollywood copying yet another Hollywood. The reach of hollywood in India is limited to the big cities but regional language movies with a touch of indian day to day issues - touch and appeals to the masses and thats why i guess Bollywood dares to defy the educated lot and continues to make movies like these. It may have flopped as the multiplexes didnt have crowds pouring in to watch this, but when it hits TV im sure a lot of happy go lucky families will enjoy watching this light entertainer and ask for re-runs.

No complaints what so ever about the movie and the message is clear, God Tussi Great Ho.
